Description

The automatic pistol with a silencer was created in Germany in 1931 and is known by its initials, derived from the German “Polizei Pistole Kurz”. During World War II it was used by the army. It was the first semi-automatic pistol that could be carried with a bullet in the chamber without the risk of accidental discharge if bumped or dropped. Its size, reliability and convenience popularized it among Western secret services, and also made it popular in cinema, where it was used by James Bond and Holly Hunter.
